Reflections on Growth: 2024 in Review at 360 Yoga

As another year draws to a close, it’s a natural time to reflect on our progress and set new goals. Here at 360 Yoga, we believe in continuous learning for both instructors and students. This year provided me with a chance to deepen my own practice and expand the knowledge I can share with you.

Learning and Growth

In NYC to study with Deborah wolk and karin stephan

This past year saw me delving into several workshops and trainings. Exploring topics like “Yoga, Scoliosis, and the Organs” with Deborah Wolk and “All about the Feet” with Karin Stephan taught me valuable insights for tailoring practices to individual needs and conditions, specifically those relating to scoliosis or feet. Additionally, workshops like “Finding Center Through Alignment” with Jaki Nett and “Preventing and Managing Common Yoga Injuries” with Jason Crandell further enhanced my teaching approach and ability to manage misalignment and pain.

Expanding Your Practice

Are you looking for ways to incorporate daily yoga into your routine? I highly recommend Yoga with Adriene’s online 30-day programs. In 2024 I completed her series “Flow,” which included more active practices than in previous years. All of her classes are mat-based and aren’t always accessible for every body, so remember, modifications are key for those managing chronic conditions or injuries. For those facing such issues, her programs from earlier years may be a better fit, and you can also take alternatives from 360 Yoga with you. Don’t be afraid to experiment and find what works best for you!

In 2025, Adriene is offering a shorter 7-day series called “Prana.” I’ll definitely be joining in.

Journaling Your Progress

Looking at my year in review, it’s easy to feel like I could (or should) have done more. That’s why I’m an advocate for journaling your accomplishments. Recording the various workshops, online courses, or even dedicated practice sessions (as simply as I did earlier in this post) you tackle throughout the year helps reveal the extent of your efforts and serves as a powerful reminder of your progress. In short, you likely are getting things done and making progress, even if you may not feel like it at times.

Shifting Gears and Finding Balance

In October, I made some adjustments to my teaching schedule to address the demands of my family life. This change allowed me to prioritize my well-being and free up time for exciting new projects. One such project is the creation of my first yoga video! While the production value may not win awards, the content is focused on providing you with valuable guidance. Stay tuned for more videos from me in the new year.

Building a Strong Community

My biggest challenge this year was finding a balance between personal and professional commitments. However, this struggle has also underscored the importance of community. Your kindness, support, and understanding during these transitions have been invaluable. Your laughter, curiosity, and enthusiasm are what motivate me to continue learning and sharing my knowledge.

What’s Next for 360 Yoga?

Interest in more guidance on balance and core strength were recurring themes in your feedback this year. In response, I’m excited about my plans for both in-person (and possibly recorded) workshops focused on these topics. Details on location and schedule will be released soon, but rest assured, these workshops will get you moving!
